@cheesemaker I could have used it on a big project that I was part of years ago, but the only software available for the Macintosh was too expensive to ever get in the door (several hundred dollars per seat before we'd even had a chance to try it out). We had tens of developers spread across the province – could've been great.
@Miraz Chickens got tenderloins? (And a nod to B.C. and Johnny Hart.)
@numericcitizen I believe journaling has been shown to cement memories, especially if done before sleeping. These days I find my memory after journaling is often enough to construct search terms that are accurate enough to find what I am seeking (although not always! So frustrating but I think that Apple’s personal AI has great promise here).
@bobwertz Oddly, this reminds me of the “superstition experiment” by BF Skinner!
[Sorry — tried to get the direct link for people unfamiliar with it, but Wikipedia kept giving me the link to the previous section!]
@danielpunkass I haven't seen any polls yet about “voter’s remorse” but they must be out there!
@Miraz They're so great on sore necks too!
@cleverdevil Well, this is a new term for me (cyberspace decks or cyberdecks). Would a little portable thing based on the Raspberry Pi Pico qualify?
Whoa! Thank you for posting that! Given Amazon’s past behaviour of removing books peremptorily, I will be moving platforms.
Any recommendations for a good alternative to the Kindle Paperwhite? (The low reflectivity of the screen, white backlighting, and light weight are my favourite features.)
@Miraz Thanks for mentioning that! Looks interesting.
