TIL that EDC is used as a contraction for “Everyday Carry”!

In no particular order, my EDC includes a 0.7mm F-301 Zebra ballpoint pen, an N95 mask for crowded situations (Covid on the rise again), wallet (CCs, ID), Apple Airpods, Swiss Army 2-blade knife, oldish iPhone 11 Pro Max, leather-strapped old AppleWatch Series 2, and glasses. I also carry a comb for sentimental reasons — how many people can say that?!

I used to carry a fountain pen (it turned out I almost never used it away from home) and a wood-barrelled gel pen from my youngest d that I really like but that I started to worry about losing after it became unclipped a few times. I also rarely have change any more: that’s a change. (I’d thought that, “The only thing constant is change.”)

I’ve lost a couple of Swiss Army knives to airport security so my EDC should probably include a stamped knife mailer envelope! (Losing a good pair of needle-nose pliers I’d accidentally left in my backpack was worse!)
